The product does not process or store any personal data, only technical function data (e.g. time stamps). If the user links this data with other data (e.g. shift plans) or if he/she stores person-related data on the same data medium (re.g. hard disk), thus personalizing this data, he/she must ensure compliance with the applicable data protection stipulations.
Risk of data loss
To minimize the risk of data loss, consider:
The product is not designed to serve as a long-term data storage system.
The product shall be integrated into a regular backup strategy.
In case of sudden power loss, recorded data might be corrupted.
In case of an application update, the Industrial Edge platform cannot provide any guarantee for the data. It is strongly recommended to download all recorded data and export recording job definitions before updating the application.
Although the Industrial Edge platform is designed to provide a robust and optimized data access, there might be some exceptional cases (e.g. peak loads) within the whole data flow from source to target that could lead to data gaps or even data loss.
