The resource manager plugin infrastructure was extended to allow resource plugin developers to support a generic access-control mechanism. The first plugin to support this mechanism is the shared memory plugin. Operators can now restrict resource access and permissions depending on the application ID. The access control lists can be specified in the resource manager settings user interface of the edge device. That way shared memory access can be denied or restricted to read-only.
