During the onboarding process, the hostname of the device will now automatically be set based on the device name. This enhancement simplifies the identification of Industrial Edge devices within your network.
The automatically generated hostname will be a sanitized version of the format [device_name]-[device_id].
Manual change
Alternatively, you can manually change the hostname using the IED API.
Notice
Please note that the hostname will revert to its default upon performing a hard reset.
