To start working with the DataXess configurator, perform the following steps:

1. The launch page of the DataXess Configurator is as shown below:

   

2. Enter the Group Name and Description of your choice.

   NOTICE

   • If you have already configured Groups, and then launch the Configurator, the Groups are displayed in the home page.
     - While creating a Group, it is mandatory to enter the Group Name and Description.
     - Only a single instance of DataXess configurator can be launched on an IEM.- While creating a Group, if the device is offline then the checkbox against the device is disabled and would not be added to the group.

3. Check the "Secure Channel by Encryption" check box, and browse for Certificate, Private Key, Certificate Authority. For more information refer End to End Secure Encryption

4. You can select the devices to be grouped as Acquisition device by using the check box; and using the radio button choose the Aggregator device of your choice.

   

5. Click "Save", and a new Group is created.
