Configuring an Aggregator Device - Manual - DataXess - Industrial Edge - Data Connection - Documentation of the DataXess for Industrial Edge

To configure an Aggregator device in the DataXess configurator, perform the following steps:

1. Click "Settings" icon available in the Aggregator device that you would like to configure.

2. By default, the topics configured from Acquisition devices are displayed.

   

   NOTICE

   • Topic will be prefixed with the respective device name in Databus of Aggregator device. Example:<device name>/ie/#- Device name should not contain space or any other special character except "-" , as MQTT broker does not support while bridging topics in common payload format.- Few special character's ':', '#', '+', '/', '$' and spaces are a cause of concern in the device name.
     - If the topic follows common payload format then the device name will be added before app Instance ID with a “:”,example:ie/d/j/simaticclv/<device name:s7c1>/dp/r/#
     - For wild card topics for example ie/#, there will be multiple entries on aggregator device's topic list as <device name>/ie/# also the ie/#
     - You must ensure that the already existing topics in Databus is also published along with the new configured topics.
     - You cannot reconfigure the topics configured in DataXess in Databus, since it will damage the configuration.

3. Click "Save".
