To configure the SMTP Basic authentication, follow these steps:

1. Click "Configure SMTP settings" in "Settings".
   

2. Enter the server details:
   

   • Host name: either https:// reference link or the host address
   • Port number: port number with a max. length of six characters
   • Security: TLS (Transport Layer Security) or SSL (Secure Socket Layer)

3. You have two options for authentication:
   

   • "User name same as sender email"
     Enter your authentication information:
     User name or valid email address
     Password
     
   • Or
   • "User name not same as sender email"
     User name or valid email address
     Password
     From/Sender ID: valid email address of the sender
     

4. Click "Validate configuration" to test the configuration.
   The "Validate configuration" window opens:
   

5. Click "Send email".
   You receive a test email at the email address you specified under "To".
6. Click "Save".
