The Common Import Converter is mandatory when you are configuring the connector with the Common Configurator.
To ensure a smooth migration of your tags from Common Connector Configurator to Common Configurator, it is essential to install the Common Import Converter before updating the configurator and connector apps. By doing so, you retain all your tags during the migration process.
However, if you fail to install the Common Import Converter before upgrading the apps, your tags are not migrated. In that case, you can follow below steps to ensure a successful migration of your tags:
Prerequisite
You must restart the S7 Connector app on the IED.
Procedure
- Install the Common Import Converter.
- Open Common Configurator.
- Click Load configuration on the Get Data page of Common Configurator.
Your tags are migrated and appear as expected in Common Configurator. - Click Deploy at the connector level to publish data and metadata.
Compatible formats
