Description

The Connector level backup and restore functionality allows users to export and import data sources and data points within a specific connector.

Procedure

To backup and restore the configuration data in connector level, follow below steps:

1. Launch the Common Configurator application.
2. Navigate to Get Data tab within the Common Configurator.
   A list of installed or available connectors are shown.
3. Click on the connector for which you want to perform the backup.
   The Overview page for the selected connector appears.
4. Navigate to the Tags tab to access tag details.
   
5. Click on the Backup icon.
   A .json file containing all available data sources and data points for the connector are downloaded.
6. Move to a different IED where you intend to import the data sources and data points.
7. Open the Common Configurator application.
8. Go to the Get Data tab.
   Installed or available connectors are listed.
9. Click on the connector for which you want to perform the restore.
   The Overview page for the selected connector is displayed.
10. Navigate to the Tags tab to access tag details.
    
11. Click on the Restore icon.
    A selection window pops up.
12. Choose the .json file exported from the other IED.
13. Click Open to initiate the import process.

Result

All imported data sources and data points are visible on the tag page of the connector.
