To define energy media, follow these steps:
- Select an asset in My Plant. The overview of the dashboards for the asset is displayed.
- Click "Add dashboard" and select "Energy media".
- Click "New row" to specify an energy medium.
-
Assign a parameter to each energy medium. You can assign either an individual parameter that represents the respective energy medium or you can enable the "Sub-asset" button.
Sub-asset
Enable the "Sub-asset" button when you have selected an energy medium in a higher-level asset of My Plant and want to show, for example, the energy consumption not only with the value of a single variable but the entire energy consumption of all lower-level assets.
-
In addition, you can also assign a reference value to each energy medium/parameter pair:
By assigning a reference, you define the energy medium more precisely. You can define, for example, that an asset consumes electricity. To do so, you assign the variable for electricity consumption "Electricity_Consumption" to the energy medium "Electricity" on the asset. You can also assign the variable for bottling "Filled_bottles" as a reference, for example, and calculate how much electricity was consumed per filled bottle (UnitConsumption = energy consumption per unit). - Click "Save".
You switch to the dashboard overview.
