The PG/PC Interface must be configured to be able to perform a software download with the sld, otherwise the sld and any other SIMATIC AX online tool will not be able to access the PLC.
- Open the Windows Control Panel
- Navigate to 'Set PG/PC Interface (32-bit)'
- Select the Ethernet adapter connected to the PLC
- Confirm the selection by pressing OK
If you are using S7-PLCSIM Advanced instead of a real PLC, the entry 'PLCSIM.TCPIP.1' must be selected as interface. Normally, PLCSIM Advanced is automatically selecting the correct interface if you run a simulated PLC instance.
