WARNING
All online-related functionalities of Monitor, Modify, and SIMATIC Debugger can prolong the cycle time and/or communication time of a PLC and therefore may cause serious damage to property or injury to persons if malfunctions or program errors occur.
Be aware that using online-related functionalities may cause the PLC to switch to the STOP state.
Make sure that no dangerous situations can arise before you use these functionalities.
After updating to a new version, recompile and download your project before using the Monitor, Modify, and SIMATIC Debugger tools.
WARNING
We are aware of a known issue that affects the time of execution for Monitor and Modify. This issue can lead to values not being monitored or modified at the correct point of the cycle.
This issue will be resolved in the upcoming release of both tools. Refer to Monitor: Time of execution and Modify: Time of execution for more information.
Note
Note that each time an online connection is initialized or a software or hardware download is performed, the initialization of Monitor, Modify, and Debugger jobs is automatically canceled.
Be aware that Monitor, Modify, and Debugger jobs can be aborted by the PLC if cycle time increases are detected on the PLC.
