Certificates for the PLC must be generated using third-party tools.

The certificate must fulfill the following requirements:

  • The certificate must be an X.509 certificate containing the private keys saved as PKCS#12 certificate (a .pfx file).
  • It is recommended to protect the certificate with a password.
    This password needs to be provided to the Hardware Compiler when the certificate is imported
  • To generate a certificate, use third-party tools, like OpenSSL as described here.
