WARNING
During commissioning, the CPU provides a manufacturer device certificate (if available) or a self-signed certificate that you must trust in order to establish a connection. Only trust this certificate if the programming device and the CPU are in a protected network and are directly connected to each other. In an unprotected environment, these certificates can be manipulated and allow attackers to access the communication between the programming device/HMI and CPU (e.g. through man-in-the-middle attacks).
