AI Asset Manager v2.2.0 is the latest version of AI Model Manager extended with the functionalities of AI Model Monitor v2.1.0. The table below shows the standard and custom app installation steps.If you have AI Model Monitor already installed on the device where you wish to install AI Asset Manager, follow the instructions of Installation with AI Model Monitor present as well in order not to lose collected metric data.
When the AI Asset Manager is installed, the application is imported into the Siemens Industrial Edge catalog with the default (working configuration) preset. There is also an option to change these default configuration values to user-defined values. The deployable app configuration file should list only the properties whose default value is to be changed.

Installation with AI Model Monitor present
AI Asset Manager is designed in a way to preserve collected metric data should you have AI Model Monitor already installed on your Edge device. It is important that after installing AI Asset Manager, you at least stop, but better uninstall AI Model Monitor from the device, but not before the installation of AI Asset Manager is finished.
If you wish to keep receiving metric data previously collected by AI Model Monitor Agent, you also need to update AI Inference Server to a version >=2.4.x. Monitoring functionalities of AI Asset Manager are only available when used in parallel with such an upgraded version of AI Inference Server embedding the latest version of AI Asset Manager Agent that's functionalities are extended with metric data collection.
Note: In AI Asset Manager alert and notification configuration is handled by the central application, AI Asset Manager, but not its Agent. If you wish to keep receiving alert notifications according to the rules you configured for AI Model Monitor Agent, you need to configure these alert rules and notification channels in AI Asset Manager.
However, if you choose to keep using AI Model Monitor and Agent 2.1.0, and collect pipeline- and custom metrics, you need an AI Inference Server <v2.4.0 installed on the device hosting AI Model Monitor Agent.
