The Connection Upgrade ensures that the AI Asset Manager and the AI Asset Manager Agent, located within the Embedder application (AI Inference Server), are directly connected, resulting in a faster connection than the standard IEM connection.
When a target is successfully upgraded to a Direct connection, the pipeline list for that target reflects the actual pipeline list of the embedding application. This means that in addition to pipelines deployed from AI Asset Manager, pipelines imported directly into the Embedder are also listed, and actions can be performed on them as well.
If the connection is through IEM, only pipelines deployed from AI Asset Manager will be listed.
The Direct connection requires the same network, firewall, and other prerequisites outlined in the Installation chapter. Additionally, the Connection Upgrade of the AI Asset Manager is available starting from v2.0.0 and is compatible only with the devices specified in this chapter.
