High data rate
Depending on the setting, the camera stream can cause a high data rate, which leads to a jerky or delayed display.
Ensure an adequately fast network connection.
Adapt the frame rate of the camera to the performance of your network connection.
Description
The "Camera Stream" view shows the images of the selected camera. The camera parameters are displayed and can be directly changed here.
Limited playback rate in the camera stream
The displayed images on the camera stream are for demonstration purposes only. The playback rate (fps) is limited to 25 frames per second.
Note that the playback rate (fps) of the images transmitted to ZeroMQ can differ from the playback rate (fps) at the front end.
Camera state update time
It can take up to 2 minutes to update the camera state.
Selecting a camera
To view the stream of another camera, click the arrow next to the camera name.
Select a camera.
Configuring a camera
The parameters of the camera are displayed in the "Configuration" area.
You can change the parameters here.
Modifying the same camera from different applications
When the camera is activated, VCA updates all preconfigured camera settings to the new values configured in VCA and to the previously set parameters from the database.
Initially, a selection of the frequently adjusted parameters is displayed. To filter the parameters, enter the text in the search box, for example, "format".
To modify parameters, click "Set parameters".
A list of all parameters is displayed.
Parameters that are marked in light gray cannot be changed. These parameters are "read only".
Change the desired parameters and save with "Save Changes".
After adding the camera, we recommend using Vision Connector to adapt the parameters/recording settings. Using other software (e.g. manufacturer-specific software) to change parameters/recording settings may result in an inconsistent camera state in the Vision Connector.
Enabling and disabling a camera
You can enable and disable individual cameras and control the video transmission accordingly.
To do this, click on the "Enable camera" or "Disable camera" button.
Removing a camera
You can remove individual cameras from the Vision Connector.
To do so, click the "Delete camera" button.
