Description
The Industrial Edge Vision Connector App (VCA) combines industrial cameras with the Industrial Edge ecosystem. The Vision Connector uses an Ethernet interface to establish a connection to the cameras. The VCA publishes the data using the ZeroMQ server integrated in the Vision Connector with high throughput to other applications.
The Vision Connector provides streamlined one-to-many streaming for downstream Edge applications, thus opening up numerous possibilities for image and video analysis. The integration with the ZeroMQ server allows other applications to receive images from several cameras simultaneously, monitor the status, and handle log messages.
The user interface offers flexible configuration options and a live stream view of each camera, allowing the user to change camera-specific parameters and simultaneously observe the effects of each change. Via the user interface, the user can adjust the parameters of a camera, including settings for resolution and frame rate.
Querying the image data enables overlaid analysis of the image data on the Industrial Edge Device. This is performed by a downstream runtime application or by applications developed specifically for the image processing.
