Requirements
After installation, you will need the following apps to configure the SINUMERIK Connector app:
Common Configurator (version 1.11.0 and newer)
Procedure
Open the SINUMERIK Connector in the Common Configurator UI.
Configure the connection as described in the following section.
Configuring connection
As a first step you must create and configure a data source. The data source represents the connection of the SINUMERIK Connector to the SINUMERIK controller.
To create the data source, use the “Add” button of the Common Configurator UI.
Fill in the connection settings as follows:
"Communication protocol" must be set to "SINUMERIK".
"Name" of the data source can be anything. Use a fitting like "My fancy machine"
"IP address of the SINUMERIK NCU" shall be the IP of the network interface that is used to connect the IED to the SINUMERIK controller. Usually, this would be the X120 port on the SINUMERIK NCU with the default IP "192.168.214.1".
"Controller type of SINUMERIK NCU" shall be set to the target controller type.
Note:If you choose “SINUMERIK ONE” for a connection to SINUMERIK ONE, be aware of the restrictions which can be found in the section “Known Limitations”.
"Serial number of the SINUMERIK NCU" shall get the serial number of the SINUMERIK NCU (CF card or SD card).
Note:The SINUMERIK Connector can only have one data source. Any configuration with more than one data source will be rejected and the deployment of the configuration will fail.
