Vision Data Collector uses the local storage of Industrial Edge Device as cache before pushing data to enterprise-level server.
The memory used by a collection will not exceed the maximum memory size configured in the Data Request file. If "Overwrite" option is set, the old collected data will be removed, so that the newer data can be stored.
For some low-end Industrial Edge Devices (e.g. SIMATIC IPC 227E), the case with only one camera is tested.
For some high-end Industrial Edge Devices (e.g. SIMATIC IPC427E, SIMATIC IPC847E) are tested.
Due to network bandwidth limitations, if too many cameras are configured in the Vision Connector and the data request file, and a higher FPS is set for each camera, data may not be sent to enterprise-level servers completely, if you do not want to lose some types of data, you could configure the data filter (refer to manual 3.4.4) to ensure all the needed data are collected. High speed network card /switch are recommended for advanced use cases.
